호페의 저서들

나의 박사학위 논문은 흄에 관한 것이었다. 나는 그의 인식론에 대해서는 거의 동의하지 않았지만, 그의 도덕철학, 희소성에 대한 통찰, 그리고 희소성이 사람들을 분쟁으로 이끌고, 따라서 규칙을 필요로 한다는 점 등에 대해서 배웠다. 나는 그를 인용했다.
My PhD dissertation was on Hume. so even though his epistemology I had mostly disagreements with him, on when it comes to his moral philosophy and his insight into scarcity, and scarcity leading to conflicts requiring rules and so forth. In that regard, I did learn from Hume. I have also quoted him.
